Poly Max was born in Belarus. As a child he experienced an event that deeply influenced his personal and artistic life. When he was only five years old, a butterfly flied into his house and sat on the wall in his room. Poly, who as a child was particularly fond of animals and insects, tried to get the butterfly out to freedom, and unfortunately he fell out the window. As a result of the fall, Poly suffered from clinical death, many operations and prolonged rehabilitation.

Poly immigrated to Israel in the 1990s. The harsh conditions of his parents  absorption and divorce led him to study at the boarding school when he was only 13 years old, where he got to know the world of drugs and crime. At the same time poly tried to commit suicide several times, but without success.

As part of his rehabilitation, Poly worked at a mental institution where he taught art classes.

In recent years, Poly has been considered a rising star in the Israeli art world. Today he lives in Tel Aviv with his partner, whom he calls "my guardian angel." She was the one who pushed him toward the painting, and even bought him his first canvas. Poly paints oil and acrylic on canvas, and his paintings are characterized by fantastic worlds that develop while observing them. Some of his paintings are identified by the red ball that appears as a recurring motif between the paintings. Also, Max stretches and frames his works on his own
